After checking several sites, we have selected the Sea Palms Resort (www.seapalms.com) at St. Simons Island, Georgia, as the headquarters for the 2012 Mini in October. Lynn and I live in the area and have negotiated a contract with Kathy Vickers at Sea Palms Resort. The initial contract was sent to several classmates for review and, with their suggestions, was modified to best meet our group needs. The facility is handicapped accessible and provides several room options to choose from. Please look over the options and the price per day as reflected in the attachment. The resort will also be providing a large meeting room throughout the period of the Mini where we can gather for group activities.

 

To secure your reservation, contact the Resort at the toll free number 1-800-841-6268 and identify yourself as a part of the South Dade Class of 1958 Reunion. Plan to arrive on Monday, October 15 and departure will be by 11 AM on Thursday, October 18. As in the past, there will be plenty of time to relax in the company of classmates and reflect on how great it was to grow up in South Florida in the 50's! Tours and sight seeing in St. Simon will be available for group outings and - as usual - golf will be available for those interested. Once we know of your intentions to participate, we will ask for help in planning the activities.

 

This 2012 Mini Reunion will be the 14th since we started these following our 40th reunion in Homestead in 1998. We have had about 30 - 40 people participating each year and look forward to seeing many of you back again. If you have not attended previously, we hope you will consider joining your classmates this year.
